This Christian Rap/Hip-Hop web site was created to tell the story of Jesus Christ from his birth to the resurrection. It is designed to catch the attention of people in the Hip Hop culture and bring them to Christ. Christian Hip Hop music, also known as Gospel Rap, has been around since the Mid 1980’s. Stephen Wiley, JC & The Boyz, Michael Peace and P.I.D. (Preachers In Disguise) were some of the early pioneers in this genre, i.e., Holy Rap Music.

Many people find Hip Hop/Rap music unappealing, as my Pastor told me  he didn’t understand the rap lyrics. I, too, found Hip Hop or Rap music to be abhorrent do to the objectionable subject matter in much of the secular music. Even so, when I first wrote these poems in 1995 I was very much aware of the fact that they lend themselves to this genre.  So, after years of procrastinating, I asked my nephew the rapper musician (http://www.daempiremusicgroup.com) to Rap for Jesus. I didn’t know at the time that he was already rapping for Jesus. What a wonderful musical rendering he created to Glorify God. His song, “The Lord’s Been Good”, is par excellence. Through the compilation of these Christian poems set in a gospel rap genre we are able to reach and edify others who are lost in an entertaining manner.  And, I’m confident that the “Saved” will also enjoy this Christian Hip-Hop/rap music rendering of the Jesus story.

I know that people find that reading and understanding the Bible to be a daunting task. I suppose this why God directed me to simplify and provide a basic understanding of the Gospel for his children through these Christian hip hop poems and rap songs. His Kingdom is calling those who hear. Further, you get more than Christian Hip Hop or Rap Music, here. The gospel has been rendered to a Christian Hip Hop video and also to a Christian rap screensaver for your edification. This is the first release in the trilogy (two more to come).
